Odyssey House is situated in a quiet pedestrian lane off the main road of Chania Old Town, just a short walking distance to all the amenities and facilities of both the Old Town as well as the newer part of Chania city and the sandy beaches of Nea Hora and Koum Kapi. The beautiful Venetian Harbour front with its many restaurants, bars and shops is only a short stroll away and, once you step outside the house's door, you will see the ruins of the ancient walls of Chania’s earliest settlement. The house has been recently renovated and is fully furnished and equipped. Its tastefully decorated living space is spread over three floors, a style common to the early Venetian period of architecture in Chania. With two good-sized bedrooms, fitted wardrobes, living room and an extra sleeping loft, Odyssey House can accommodate up to 6 people. A small private rooftop terrace is accessed from the third level, perfect for enjoying a drink as the sun goes down. The large, fully equipped modern kitchen is uniquely designed, keeping the original architectural features, incorporating the historic domed part of the original Venetian building for the elegant dining area. Odyssey House has a modern bathroom with shower and a laundry room on the 1st floor as well as another small shower room on the ground floor. The renovations to Odyssey House have sensitively blended the practicality of modern design with the charming traditional architectural features in the house such as the stone archways, the domed kitchen and the old secret passageway used by the Chanians to move between houses in historic times of attack. The comfort of our guests remains our focus, with all the modern conveniences required for a most enjoyable stay. Extra touches include TV/DVD, wi-fi internet, an eclectic library, and welcome packages including the delicious fresh homemade marmalade. We can assist you with discounted car rental as well as discounted boat-trips and excursions. Payment options are: Internet/Online Banking Transfer or other kind of Banking Transfer. Also, deposits can be paid via PayPal. The OWNER must receive the contract and 50% of the full payment in order to secure the reservation. Full payment must be received at the second day of the Renters’ arrival. Cancellation Policy We accept cancellations (and refund deposits) with up to two months notice. However, if there will be a very serious reason (i.e. health reasons) . Rules Rates are subjected to change without prior notice. The RENTER agrees to the following terms and conditions: 1. Contract: The owner will prepare and sign a contract that will be sent to the guest. The guest will then print, complete, sign, scan and Email this Rental Agreement back to the Email address provided by the owner. 2. Check-in/out: Check-in is at 2:00 pm on your reservation start date. Check-out time is 2:00 pm on your reservation end date (unless is agreed otherwise). This allows time to properly clean apartment. Key Pickup arrangements are determined during the Booking Process. 3. Occupants: Strictly limit occupants to those listed on the booking form; unless special permission is granted by OWNER; admission will be refused or terminated if this condition is not met. 4. RENTER will report any breakages or damages to the OWNER as soon as they occur so that they can be resolved for the next guest. 5. Maid Service: Bed linen and towels are changed weekly (new towels, linen and maid service will be at the apartment on the 3rd day of your arrival. Maids will arrive between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Maids will generally tidy the apartment, wash dishes and take out the garbage. 6. Security: Double-lock the front door at all times; when going out, remember to bring the key with you when you leave; the door self-locks; do not leave the key on the inside of the door when you go or you will be locked out. The renter will be charged €50 if the PROPERTY MANAGER or the owner must make a special trip to permit entry, as it usually involves calling the fire brigade to assist. 7. Supplies: There will be a welcome package prior to your arrival. Household goods (i.e. soap, shampoo, toilet paper etc) will be provided 8. Smoking: Smoking is NOT allowed in the house.
