Bingie by the Sea is a fully self catering one bedroomed holiday apartment overlooking the ocean. It is located on our 60 acre property "Wongaburra" and adjoins the Eurobodalla National Park and Coila Lake foreshore. The Bingie Dreaming Track runs past our property and we are close to secluded beaches, wild headlands and old growth temperate forests. We are surrounded by wildlife: kangaroos, wallabies, dolphins, whales (in season) and many species of birds. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We have stunning views to the east over the Pacific Ocean and to the west over Coila Lake and the mountains of the Great Dividing Range. Bingie is a quiet and secluded community. We are 15 minutes from Tuross Head and Moruya (4-5 hours from Sydney and 2½ from Canberra). If you wish we can arrange a breakfast basket to have at your leisure, or we can cook breakfast to be served in the main house or, weather permitting, on the verandah. We do make a small extra charge for our specially catered breakfast. Welcome to the Heritage Guest House Bombala. The Heritage Guesthouse and Restaurant was originally built to house the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney. Proprietor Les Atkins has transformed this wonderful old building into a Guesthouse and Restaurant. The Function Room and the Dining Room have been tastefully decorated with artifacts from a time gone past. As well as housing the bank, the building provided a residence for the bank manager and his family. The National Australia Bank still currently operates from the front of the building. The Heritage Guesthouse has 5 beautifully decorated rooms available as well as a lounge area and a restaurant. All have been tastefully adorned with artifacts from a time gone past giving guests a warm, homely feeling. The Heritage Guest House Bombala has five tastefully decorated rooms available. Boonara Homestead is a grand old colonial home set in the picturesque undulating landscape of the South Burnett just outside the village of Goomeri in South East Queensland. It was built in 1862 for David Jones, the founder of the Department Store Empire. The home features 14ft high ceilings and 7 inch beaded edge walls constructed of red cedar. Ironbark and Red Gum were also used, obtained from the property and cut up by pitsaws. The saw marks and hand-made nails are still there today. Because the ground was rocky, the building has no stumps but instead it is supported by 3 rows of bed logs. Large red gums. Sitting on top of shorter logs running across underneath them. These were all adzed in. The building today still sits on these logs and remains relatively level. Not bad considering this home will be 150 years old in 2012. The spacious living area features four fireplaces. Little touches such as the porcelain fingerplates and knobs on the doors and of course, the wide verandahs all go to make this an enchanting home.
